You can taste the products of the farm from June to mid-July and then in September.

And then...

Continuing along the road, you climb up to the Valbertat Bassa hut and from here, on the left, you reach the Valbertat Alta farm and, following the link road you cross the border with Austria, up to the Straniger Alm (CAI trail no. 449).

From Valbertat Bassa, if you drive along the paved road on the right-hand side, you reach the Passo Cason di Lanza, then descend to Pontebba.

Nearby the waterfalls of Chialis and Salino and the Forra di Las Callas gorge on the Chiarsò brook are worth mentioning.

The small towns in the valley bottom are Paularo with the Palazzo Valesio-Calice (1591), the Palazzo Calice-Screm-Gerometta (16th century, a typical Carnic house), the Palazzo Fabiani-Linussio (17th century, Linussio's abode, where Giosuè Carducci slept), the Palazzo della Canonica (1674), Casa Tarussio (Côrt di Tarùsc) (17th century, example of a local dwelling with wooden works by Sbrizzai and other carvers), Palazzo Morocutti (1631), and the Mozartina, a small music museum with a refined collection of old instruments.

Moreover, there are a few religious buildings:

the parish church of patron saints Vito, Modesto e Crescenzia (1750), frescoed with an absolute masterpiece by painter Antonio Schiavi and with a wonderful crucifix, along with the baptistery from the 16th century and the organ of 1764;

the church of Santa Maria Maggiore (1300), with a splendid wooden altar from 1522;

the church of San Giovanni Battista (1400);

the church of Santa Caterina d'Alessandria Martire (1400), with an ancient medieval belfry and an altar of the 17th century;

the deconsecrated church of Sant'Antonio (1674);
the Cappella dei santi Fabiano e Sebastiano (1688);

the church of San Pietro (1715), with a precious painting of Saint Peter attributed to Nicola Grassi;

The Sacello di Santa Maria di Loreto (1745), a rare example of architecture with an octagonal base;

The Santuario di Maria SS. Ausiliatrice del Monte Castoia (1870) with frescoes by Giacomo Monai from Nimis and the legendary stone with the image of the Madonna with Child Jesus engraved on it.

In Piazza Julia you can see the masterpiece monument built by Giobatta Segalla honouring all Fallen and Missing, both soldiers and civilians from Paularo, in the wars of 1911/1912 - 1935/1936 - 1940/1945.

The relics of a pre-Roman necropolis have recently been discovered in Misincinis.

You can also reach Pontebba, in the other valley, where a visit to the town hall is recommended: outside, the wonderful façade and, inside, precious frescoes and the Roman gravestone of "Severilla". A magnificent wooden altar of 1517 is also displayed in the parish church. The bridge on the Pontebbana torrent, in the town centre, is historically significant as the old boundary between Pontafel (Austria) and Pontebba (Republic of Venice) until the Great War. After that war the border was moved to Coccau. Its current structure was built again in the 50s, after the previous construction crumbled. In Piazza Garibaldi you can see a sculpture by Max Piccini dated 1969, which was dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the composer of "Stelutis alpinis", Arturo Zardini. Other buildings of great historical significance are: Casa Micossi (18th century), Gaspero Rizzi's House (17th century), Casa Brunetti Bonfioli de' Cavalcabò (19th century), Casa Schiavi (19th century), and Casa Micossi Nassimbeni (19th century).
