Navas

Lying at a comparably low altitude, its pastures are grazed between mid-May and mid-October. The grassy saddle of Navas (1,025 m) overlooks the Degano valley, northward, and is dominated by the calcareous massifs of the Monti di Volaia and by the Monte Coglians to the north, while you can admire the plateau of Lauco and its hamlets to the south-east.

Ovaro (Ud)

From Ovaro you follow the directions toward Mione and, once you have arrived at the fountain in the square, you turn left, cross the large meadows, cross the ford on the Miozza torrent and continue along the forest road. At the first fork, keep right, and at the second one, turn left (directions). After passing by the border fences, you reach the pasture and, in a short while, the farm.

And then...

From Navas you can descend directly to Muina, along a sometimes steep and bumpy forest road.

In Ovaro, in the Cludinico hamlet, before climbing up the mountains, you can visit the "Museo Ex Miniera di Carbone" and the "Ex Miniera Creta d'Oro" two museums about the former local mines, evidence of the mining activity at the turn of last century. In Aplis, near Ovaro, the "Museo del Legno e della Segheria Veneziana", (Venetian sawmill museum), has been opened to the public. The stone mill of Baus and the Namontet necropolis are both worth a visit. The hamlet of Mione has the house of a hundred windows, while Luint boasts its aristocratic mansions.

Nearby lies the village of Raveo, with the Santuario della Madonna del Monte Castellano, dated 1619, which is considered the place of an apparition (an origin shared by many other shrines dedicated to the Virgin Mary), and the small church of the Beata Vergine, with the small hermitage convent of Monte Castellano founded by Franciscan friars in 1686.
